There is Hope for Journalism Majors!

#DigitalEd

In this technology driven world it has become difficult for many journalists to “keep up” with technology.  As an aspiring broadcaster, I have felt the competition to become fierce–in a way that if you do not post a tweet every second or every hour of the day you’re basically behind. However, I have discovered that it’s not about the number of tweets or posts you’re uploading but the quality of work that you’re putting in and how many networks you’re a part of. PBS MediaShift has made our lives easier, they have recently created a series of live online media trainings called DigitalEd which helps journalism majors expand their technological knowledge in this digital age. I’ve always been more of a hands-on type of person. This site offers a real-world training for technology and how to master it. When I say technology I primarily mean that they show you how to use the proper tools in your field and take advantage of it.
