Although it seems like it was literally yesterday, my RTV course has come to an end. One main thing I do have to say is that my views on multimedia production have changed drastically, practically a 180. Before this course, I had no idea the amount of work that is put into editing and production. I used to think that I didn’t really need to know how video editors and producers edit the media because I’m a broadcast media major, which means I’m in front of the camera. But now that I have actually been able to experience it at first hand I am glad it is a mandatory class that all journalism majors are required to take–whether you’re in front of the camera or behind. Because I believe if you don’t know what it takes to assemble together the pieces you can’t really learn to appreciate the hard work that is put into it. Now, I am proud to say that I am multimedia journalist!
