From “reset essentials” to “content-aware” photoshop is not as simple as you think. Photoshop and its different layers are something you literally have to go to college for, but it’s not as hard as it sounds–if you practice. I always said to myself, “I don’t really need to learn photoshop. It’s not like I’m studying to be a graphic designer and all.” False. Photoshop is a necessity in anything you do or career you’re in and you never know when those lessons are going to come in handy. Great example, I just opened up my own functional training gym and needed help with the transparency of my logo. I contacted my designer to please send me the logo so that I can add it to pictures and got no response. I guess it’s true what they say, “If you want something done right, you need to do it yourself.” Before the lesson, I tried doing it on my own and it was a complete fail. I was there for hours when it was something that can take less that five minutes. To my luck, we happened to cover that portion in my RTV class and was able to stay after to work on my logo–that I had asked my designer to do last week. Familiarizing yourself with programs and researching different things that have nothing to do with your career can truly help you succeed. I know I learned that this weekend.
